My name is Nick Collins.
I'm a professional photographer,
based in South East London.
I attended the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne twice.
Once to study Geography (scraped a 2:2), then 12 years later a PGCE(MA) in Education (Distinction).
In-between, I managed bars & clubs.
This was fun (for the wrong reasons).
I tutored children from wealthy families for a while.
Me: "How's he doing in school?"
Mother: "No idea, ask the au-pair".
Genuine quote.
Then I taught year 5 in a "socially challenging" primary school.
(OFSTED's words, not mine).
The most rewarding thing I've done.
I wrote & published a children's book called 'Green & Orange'.
It's about monsters, friendship & understanding (or "a clumsy stab at self-therapy" according to my 'friend' George).
The two photos below aren't mine.
I wish they were.
